Feasible Solutions is a consultancy service initially focused on the forestry sector. A range of skills are offered in supply chain planning, growth and yield prediction, and in resource planning. Many of these tools and solutions can be applied to other industries. Current client work has mostly been in growth modelling, yield prediction, and forest valuation. This includes using existing commercial models and systems as well as the development and calibration of custom built solutions. Feasible Solutions has a strong IT focus in database design and management as well as software development (Python, Visual Basic, Java, and C++) for corporate systems. An area of professional interest is in the development of optimisation systems for strategic and tactical planning. These systems are user-friendly, robust, and directly interfaced with corporate databases. A current project is exploring the potential for optimising truck scheduling. ForestryLP is a product offered as an example of the services available. It is fully functional and could be applied in a large scale forestry company with the addition of a commercial Linear Programming solver and PuLP.
